EXTENSION OF LA CALA GOLF

The land on which we operate has an area of 9161 M².

The total constructed area of buildable computable purposes is of 1,457 M² above ground.

This re-form includes changes in the existing clubhouse and the annexation of a new building of more modern lines but also harmonized with the existing architecture and environment in Costa del Sol.

When alluding to the traditional Andalusian style, it agglutinates not only the aesthetic but also a way of living. The La Cala Hotel summarizes trends and updates vernacular feelings accommodated to modernity. The graceful brick volumes alternate compartmentalized and irregular, in height and in dimension, in order to break the uniformity of the facade which gives the building a cluttered figure in appearance but very attractive in its presentation. It evokes an architecture of contrasts , hedonistic and sensual.

THE ARCHITECTS VISIÓN IN COSTA DEL SOL:

The expansion of the Cala Golf Club House located in Costa del Sol is an example of an architectural reform based on the study of the existing architecture, producing a continuity in the ideas but with an aesthetic and contemporary language with materials and construction details pertaining to current styles. It is a complex exercise, conducted by these study of architecture in Marbella and also a challenge for them. The end result is a reform of the clubhouse which is part of a much larger complex and in which emphasizes the harmony of the different architectural pieces.

Architects have designed a main elevation in which the main material is glass. A façade of great presence, where a light metal structure holds the different panes of glass that compose it. This gesture gives the project transparency in its public areas, allowing seeing the activities that are done inside. In turn, these rooms appropriate from the outer space, incorporating vegetation to their immediate surroundings.

This piece of glass fits in a second horizontal part which will elicit more the shape from the first one. It is a game of opposing ideas in which ideas are emphasized from contraposition. Addressing concepts as opaque and transparent, horizontal and vertical, light and dark, narrow or wide.

This architectural firm has done lots of projects in the Costa del Sol, environment known in all its dimensions by them.
