Gonzalez & Jacobson Architecture, in collaboration with Sánchez De La Rosa Interiors, presents a decorative study for the enhancement and renovation of the Lobby, Patios, and Bistro at the 5-star Hotel La Cala Golf in Mijas, Málaga. This project aims to create a unique atmosphere with harmonious spaces that seamlessly blend together.

The restyling of the hotel’s lobby is designed to respect and enhance the architectural style of a “Spanish hacienda” and Mediterranean theme. Existing furniture and decor will be utilised in the renovation, repositioned across different areas, and refreshed by reupholstering some chairs, armchairs, sofas, and terrace furniture with natural fabrics and colourful designs inspired by traditional geometry and elegant contrasts.

The goal is to create a relaxed environment with timeless beauty, where vegetation, warm colours, natural fibre materials (such as rattan and bamboo), and decorative objects adorn the large spaces with charm and uniqueness.

The furniture planned for the Bistro/Bar includes armchairs and chairs of various designs, woven and upholstered. The tables feature different shapes and cutting-edge finishes that combine clean lines. Part of the lighting will be provided by suspended lamps made from natural fibres.

This renovation and decoration project embodies modern sophistication. It is a design that captivates and will evoke sensations on the Costa del Sol, Malaga.
