Gonzalez & Jacobson Architecture and their Architects in Malaga presents a preliminary renovation project for a detached house in Mijas, Malaga.
The project is based on an existing house, for which a preliminary design has been proposed to give the property a more contemporary look while retaining the Mediterranean essence provided by its roofs.
The proposal includes redesigning the entire volumetry and exterior area of the house, replacing mouldings and finishes with modern concepts that will provide the contemporary flair that is in high demand.
The renovations involve various types of work, from small details to interventions requiring more complex and meticulous efforts. It is crucial to establish the right guidelines to ensure the renovation is successful and meets its objectives.
In this renovation project (Casa Lebron), some actions proposed by our architecture studio on the Costa del Sol include:
- Unifying the porch with the garden terrace to create a larger space using large-format porcelain tiles, even integrating them into the pool interior for flooring continuity.
- Removing elements such as existing ceiling mouldings, demolishing arches and pillars, and reconstructing them as proposed (see attached images).
- Removing railings, renewing them, and installing painted iron railings.
- Building new pergolas, etc.
The elevations shown, along with the listed actions, largely depict the preliminary renovation project for the villa in Mijas.
A successful renovation will transform this building or space into a completely new place suited to the circumstances, aspirations, and needs of those who request it. It is always an excellent alternative to make the most of a building, whether for living or as an investment.
