VALDERRAMA GOLF IN SOTOGRANDE
The project site covers an area of 40,000 m².
The total built area is 14,400 m² above ground and 4,100 m² in the basement for parking and storage.
We designed a building complex in Sotogrande comprising 104 apartments distributed across 8 multi-family residential blocks of varying sizes, with a central pool area, all directly open to the clubhouse and golf course.
Valderrama is synonymous with luxury and distinction in Sotogrande, and the project translates this archetype into a group of apartments housed in freestanding buildings clustered around an exclusive common area. The complex has a compact, regular, and stately appearance, with a façade that unfolds from a central, open, and expressive distributor. The desire to create architecture suited to the location is justified not only by the spatial characteristics but also by the unique needs of its users.
SYNOPSIS PROJECT BY THE ARCHITECTS IN SOTOGRANDE:
Valderrama Golf, is a meticulously designed complex by the Sotogrande Architects. The success of this development lies in its urban-level approach. The architects in Sotogrande have developed a comprehensive urban project, including visual studies, sun exposure analysis for optimal building orientations, consideration of filled and empty spaces for appropriate compactness, and vehicular and pedestrian access planning.
The architects have developed all an urban project with visual studies of the sunning for the optimal location of the structures, complete and empty over the plan to share an excellent distribution of road and foot access .
Special attention is given to circulation. Vehicular access is concealed behind vegetation and around the perimeter to ensure it's not visible from common and recreational areas. This approach achieves greater tranquillity and enhances the quality of green spaces and pool areas.
Regarding the blocks, the façades are treated differently based on their orientation. Ordered openings of various sizes appear symmetrically on each façade. The sloped ceramic tile roofs create up to three levels in some cases, producing a carefully studied visual balance in the building. Above the main entrance, a large glass enclosure divides the elevation in two, allowing a glimpse of the interior open space. This design enables easy interpretation of the building's internal functioning, provided by honest architecture.
These architects in Sotogrande have worked on many projects with similar requirements and have always been able to respond to the needs of its customers with smart architectural solutions adapted to different cultures in different countries. Spain, Mexico, Brazil and Morocco are some of them.
