Gonzalez & Jacobson Architecture, collaborating with Sánchez De La Rosa Interior designer, presents a preliminary design for renovating the lobby and coffee shop area of the 5-star La Cala Resort Hotel in Mijas, Malaga.

Key References:

The lobby’s restyling respects and reinforces the “Spanish hacienda” and Mediterranean architectural style. Interventions draw inspiration from renowned designer Jaime Parladé’s colour use and Ralph Lauren’s timeless, welcoming lines.

General Ambiance:

Contrasting elements. Lush greenery and warm colours. Natural materials.

Wall Decor:

Large wall spaces adorned with contemporary ceramic and natural fibre decorative objects.

Fabrics:

Natural textiles, colours inspired by traditional geometry, and elegant contrasts.

Vegetation:

Plants as a crucial element for both colour and creating a welcoming space.

Custom Furniture:

Reupholstered existing furniture and new pieces made from natural rattan and bamboo.
