Gonzalez & Jacobson Architecture is developing an access study for a detached single-family home in Nueva Andalusia, Marbella, Malaga.

Access points and other architectural elements are crucial, each serving a specific purpose. Access routes, especially exterior and interior staircases, connect spaces while also being decorative and functional. However, they occupy space and must be designed with this in mind, ensuring accessibility for people with reduced mobility, adapting to their location, and complying with safety standards.

Gonzalez & Jacobson’s architecture firm in Marbella proposes access and staircase designs that seamlessly integrate with the environment for several homes in Nueva Andalucia.

While many ideas can be conceived for home access, practicality, accessibility, safety, volume, and aesthetics must all converge to meet legal requirements and align with the architects’ vision, following the architectural style envisioned for the design concept.
