Preliminary design for LAGOON BEACH, a social area for a luxury villa in La Zagaleta, Benahavis, Malaga, developed by Gonzalez & Jacobson Architecture, Cogitari Homes, and Any Architects.
Gonzalez & Jacobson Architecture takes the term “Architecture for Living Outside” into account when designing, a concept increasingly present in contemporary homes, especially in climates like the Mediterranean, where conditions allow for enjoying the outdoors for much of the year. This approach, adopted by the Marbella-based architecture studio, promotes a fluid connection between interior and exterior, through spaces such as terraces, porches, swimming pools, and gardens that are not mere accessories, but an essential part of the architectural project.
Below is the proposal for the LAGOON BEACH social area. A space inspired by the processes and systems of nature to design areas that mimic the way ecosystem’s function. Pools that mimic beaches, waterfalls and springs, gazebos, a barbecue and pizza area, a Tikki Bar, and more. These elements are integrated, simulating a moving river environment that creates an immersive sensory experience.
An immersive experience that mimics nature at LAGOON BEACH in La Zagaleta.
Gonzalez & Jacobson Architecture designs seek to establish a connection between the interior and exterior spaces, and above all, with the surrounding environment. This integration undoubtedly improves the quality of life for its inhabitants.
Through its 30 years of experience, Gonzalez & Jacobson Architecture has a great ability to merge the old with the new, transforming it into a timeless style that blends perfectly with its surroundings.
