Le Corbusier carried out anthropometric studies to design, in 1928, one of his most famous pieces: the LC2 or Cube Chair (because of its cubist appearance), based on the principles of the international style. It is a very comfortable armchair, with a tubular steel frame and integrated black leather seat and armrests, the original of which Cassina continues to manufacture today, in various finishes and with one, two or three seats.
At 85 years old, the LC2 continues to be a modern design and we can see it frequently in many public spaces or in homes. In addition, it is part of the permanent collection of the Design Museum.
