On 5 May, Marbella’s Mayor Ángeles Muñoz, along with Councillor for Commerce Félix Romero and Mayoralty Councillor María José Figueira, presented the 2022 Commerce Awards to Las Chapas establishments, recognising their commitment to preserving Marbella’s essence and their dedication to quality and excellence.

Among the recipients was Gonzalez & Jacobson Architecture, led by architects Rodolfo Amieva Jacobson and Diego Macías, who received the award from Mayor Muñoz. Many of the firm’s professionals attended the ceremony, affirming that teamwork and effort make challenges worthwhile, especially when acknowledged.

The Mayor thanked the establishments for their entrepreneurship, management during the pandemic, and commitment to maintaining Marbella’s essence, praising their shared principles of “modernity, proximity, and trust”. She noted that the district, home to over 15,000 residents, is “multicultural and cosmopolitan”, often requiring personalised attention in various languages.
